Gentec-EO are happy to announce that Gentec-EO’s calibration facilities, located at the headquarters in Canada, have obtained ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation from ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board) on April 2nd 2019. For over 45 years, Gentec-EO has built an international reputation for the accuracy and reliability of our laser beam measurement devices. This accreditation demonstrates that our company operates with the highest competency level with regards to laser beam measurement instruments calibration.

The ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is the highest recognized quality standard for testing and calibration laboratories. For an organization to be accredited in ISO 17025, its laboratory must be able to consistently produce precise, repeatable and accurate tests and have implemented a rigorous quality management system. Gentec-EO also holds an ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system.

  • Lowest energy: 50 fJ
  • Highest energy: 7.5 kJ
  • Wavelength range: 248 nm to 10.6 um
  • Best absolute uncertainty: +/-1.5% of reading for photodiodes from 450 nm to 940 nm.

The scope includes the optical calibration of almost all Gentec-EO products: from photodiodes to thermal power detectors (including the high power HP series), as well as pyroelectric energy detectors and high energy calorimeters. It also covers the electrical calibration of all our standard displays and PC interfaces.

Each and every detector is validated against a “Gold” reference, that is, a Gentec-EO detectors regularly calibrated by NIST or PTB. This approach makes each of the products Gentec-EO sell one step closer to the absolute reference.
