FIND-R-SCOPE Infrared Viewer Model 84499

The FIND-R-SCOPE® 84499 is a self-contained, hand-held infrared viewer operating in the near-infrared region of the spectrum. A high-resolution image converter tube, and high voltage power supply combine with proprietary Infragon objective lens and other precision optics to permit a clear view of objects or images which can not otherwise be seen by the naked eye.

Purchase optional 85299 C-Mount adapter (shown in right hand column), for ability to use standard C-Mount lenses with this unit. Also see Technical Note TN-106 in the Technical Support section of this site for more info.

The FIND-R-SCOPE® has a wide variety of applications in many different industries. These applications are further expanded by taking advantage of the available accessories. (See right border for most popular accessories for this unit.) The optional close-up lens allows for viewing within 2" to align and verify fiber optic sources. The infrared filters increase the signal-to-noise ratio by blocking visible light while inspecting infrared emitting diodes, aligning laser systems and examining art and other historic or legal documents.

Other applications include low light surveillance, biological research, electrical maintenance, hot-spot detection, clinical medicine, and viewing in photographic darkrooms.

HighFinesse infrared cameras are developed for a broad range of applications. From reasearch, development to industrial process control, HighFinesse cameras feature a robust design with high framerates, low weight and great dynamic range.

The Lynceus infrared camera is available as a standard 320 x 256 pixel version and a larger 640 x 420 pixel variant. Both cameras deliver excellent measurement results and offer convenient compatibility with PC driven operations.

No power cord

A distinctive feature of the Lynceus product series is the power supply via USB 2.0. No power cord is needed. This eases cable management at the measurement location.

Powerful software & SKD

HighFinesse offers a rich palette of software features such as: image stabilization, storing images and videos, image histogramm, line profiles, image correction algorithms (brightness, contrast, gamma), dynamic image transposition (top-top, left-right), time control, image live view, and array control. 


Possible applications involve water and moisture detection, profiling infrared laser beams and analyzing NIR spectra or lasers, testing silicon wafers, seeing through glass, viewing objects with temperature > 400 °C and sorting objects according to their NIR reflection behaviour.

The OWL SW1.7 CL-640 is a rugged, high sensitivity digital VIS-SWIR camera. Using a 640 x 512 InGaAs sensor from SCD the OWL enables high sensitivity imaging from 0.4µm to 1.7µm. The 15µm x 15µm pixel pitch enables highest resolution VIS-SWIR image and with less than 50 electrons readout noise the OWL 640 enables the highest VIS-SWIR detection limit.

Available with an analog output, the OWL 640 will run at 25Hz in CCIR and 30Hz in EIA, enabling high speed digital video with intelligent auto AGC. This new feature On-board Automated Gain Control (AGC) will enable clear video in all light conditions.

The OWL 640 also features an on-board intelligent 3 point NUC which will provide the highest quality images 

As with all Raptor cameras the OWL 640 is an ultra compact, low power (<5W) camera which makes it ideal for hand-held, mobile or airborne systems.

It is very rugged, and has no fan enabling integration into UAV, handheld or any Electro-Optic system.
