Andover Corporation's first-surface, hard-coat narrowband filters employ magnetron sputtered, hard-oxide coatings deposited on Borosilicate Glass and do not utilize any absorbing filter glasses, making them suitable for high temperature applications. They provide a steep transition from a high, peak transmission to OD4 blocking. Available at wavelengths from 334nm to 1550nm, including all major laser lines and atomic absorption lines. Flow seeding was done with LaVision’s Helium-filled Soap Bubble Generator

The flow behind a full size serial car without modifications has been successfully measured at 60 km/h and 120 km/h with four LaVision high-speed cameras at 1450 frames per second in a wind tunnel at Volkswagen. The seeding rack, which emitted the 300 µm Helium-filled soap bubbles for seeding the flow, consisted of 6 x 10 nozzles in a vertical line and a overall height of 3.5 meters. The field of view was 4 m2 with 200 mm depth.

Abberior Instruments STED workshop at Light Microscopy Australia Conference

Lastek, MMI and Abberior Instruments are organising a STED workshop to take place immediately before the Light Microscopy Australia Conference in Melbourne, which will run from February 1-3, 2017, at the Walter+Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research. 

The Lastek/MMI/Abberior Instruments STED workshop will be held on the 31st January at Monash Micro Imaging.

At the workshop, we will demonstrate the Abberior Instruments STED system with easy3D STED and RESCue STED and the Abberior Instruments STEDYCON. Dr. Gero Schlötel, an Application Specialist from Abberior Instruments in Germany will join us for the event.
