Princeton Applied Research Launches Bundle: Activation of VersaSTAT FRA and ZSIMPWIN

Providing both Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) data acquisition and analysis together

Each VersaSTAT potentiostat from Princeton Applied Research, a unit of AMETEK Scientific Instruments, is equipped with a Frequency Response Analyzer (FRA) that can be easily activated and used to run impedance experiments.  ZSimpWin modeling software can be used to fit the data. The FRA is used to study electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Benefits of  studying EIS with comprehensive modeling software include:

  • EIS is a fast, non-destructive method that measures electrochemical processes occurring at different time scales.
  • EIS answers many common questions in electrochemistry:
    • What is the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of my device? What is the state-of-charge of my battery?
    • What is the solution resistance of my cell? What is my rate of electron transfer?
    • Is my coating failing? Is my inhibitor effective?
