nLIGHT Introduces alta Compact Fiber Laser

nLIGHT announced today a new compact, high power fiber laser to its industrial fiber laser portfolio. At half the size of typical 2kW lasers, the nLIGHT alta compact family allows for better use of shop floor space and simplifies tool integration. nLIGHT’s new resonator provides a unique combination of performance and stability at power levels from 1.5 kW to 2.5 kW. Industry-leading features include:

  • Reflective materials: nLIGHT’s novel back reflection isolation technology allows uninterrupted, full power processing of highly reflective materials.
  • Process control: nLIGHT’s advanced electronics set the benchmark for laser stability and pack in more process control options than any laser in its class.
  • Uptime: nLIGHT’s alta compact resonator was designed to enable tool integrators and end users to manage maintenance and service, which results in higher machine uptime and an improved end user experience.
